Unaddressed direct advertising is an effective and cheap direct marketing tool to reach a specific geographical area and to contact unknown potential customers.

Targeted recipients are identified on the basis of zip code and family type: companies can choose to have their advertising delivered only to families living in a specific geographical area, identified by a single zip code, or to all retailers or wholesalers based in a specific area.
